ASTRAZIONI

ASTRAZIONI presents a series of previously unseen works by Domingo Milella, the result of a decade-long research that weaves together the archaic and the contemporary. After years spent in the darkness of prehistoric caves, Milella emerges into the light of our cities to uncover, on walls, surfaces, ruins, and construction sites, other signs and apparitions. Anonymous traces, graffiti, doodles, and erasures: these are the elements that form the new visual alphabet of ASTRAZIONI, created on the occasion of the exhibition ASTRAZIONE (2025, Camilla Grimaldi Gallery, Rome). In these primitive yet refined images, inhabiting our most radical present like relics of a remote future, Domingo Milella composes a new urban cave, where every sign becomes, at once, a testimony, a mystery, and a threshold.
