IALURGIA – limited edition

Ialurgia is a chronological collection of paintings made by Marco Emmanuele between 2019 and 2021. His most recent research centers on painting with a vitreous mixture, through which the artist stages abysmal and dreamlike scenarios. In dialogue with classical painting techniques, Marco Emmanuele pulverizes visions made of glass and sand that tend towards abstraction. The book, published on the occasion of the exhibition Un raggio verde (2022, Operativa Arte Contemporanea, Rome), includes a selection of exhibition views and a text by Giuseppe Armogida.

The covers of the first 15 copies are unique pieces customized by Marco Emmanuele using glass fragments and dust.
