ISOLA – limited edition

Isola brings together three large paintings that have represented the key passages in Luca Grechi’s artistic research from 2019 to 2021. In a game of layering and subtraction the artist alternates solid and transparent colors on the painting surface, where the matter of color disappears and reappears, chasing an unstable and perhaps unattainable balance. The publication, made on the occasion of the exhibition Mi frullla in testa un’isola (2021, Richter Fine Art, Rome) includes a text by Marco Deserto, Chi più di una stella sta…là, a futuristic surreal dialogue that blends art, science fiction and politics.  

The first 30 copies contain original lino prints numbered and signed by Luca Grechi (Mi frulla in testa un’isola, 2021).
