QUADERNO – limited edition

Quaderno is a series dedicated to the practice of drawing, made in collaboration with Galleria Richter, Rome. The works on paper by Giulio Catelli and Luca Grechi, made between May and October 2021, convey on the one hand an idea of a painter’s private notebook, characterized by restless strokes and the raptus of intuition, and on the other completely autonomous pages and drawings that are fully representative of the author’s poetic traits. For the two artists drawing is not only tied to the thought of the new, linked to planning, but an effective instrument of inner probing, with the marks and gestures of their individual pictorial practices.

The first 15 copies contain original lino prints numbered and signed by Giulio Catelli (Apologo del gattino, 2021) and Luca Grechi (Un saluto al cielo, 2021).
